At ADL Process, waste electric and electronic equipment (WEEE) is recycled in a safe and environmentally sound process. To achieve this, ADL Process must comply with federal, provincial and municipal environment, labour, and data security laws. Additionally, ADL Process has incorporated industry best practices through becoming certified to national and international electronic recycling standards.
Our integrated environmental health and safety management system enables us to both: stay in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and to support our clients in complying with their internal policies regarding environmental footprint, data security and ethical partnership.
How ADL Process complies with regulations
ADL Process is committed to treat environmental regulations, data security requirements and labor laws with the utmost care, and has continually made improvements on how we operate since the company’s creation in 2001.
ADL Process’ commitment to environment led the company to become one of the first e-waste recyclers in Ontario to receive a Provisional Certificate of Approval from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) in January of 2004.
ADL Process’ Integrated Environmental Health and Safety Management System (IMS) standardizes our focus on continual improvement, ensures rigorous record keeping, documents our strong Health & Safety Policies, ensures staff training and conformance. It was originally designed to meet the requirements for ISO 14001:2004 certification, but has expanded to meet the provincial requirements of Electronic Recycling Standard 2010.
ADL Process also became one of 12 approved provincial service providers for the Ontario Electronic Stewardship program (OES) in September 2009.
ADL Process is proud to have obtained the R2:2013 certification, one of the highest international recycling standard, on March 21st 2018. It required an upgrade in our ISO certification to ISO14001:2015 and to obtain the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification.
How ADL Process helps its clients comply with their internal policies
ADL Process is committed to help its clients mitigate risks of exposure and liability. This can include, but is not limited to: providing Certificates of Recycling, or Certificate of Destruction to our clients.
ADL Process is happy to meet with clients to discuss their compliance and contractual requirements.
